Lesson 5.2 Personal Reflection
Here is the written reflection on teaching tiny brains. It explains
- What I know about how preschoolers learn
- How I turned the course ideas into “brain helpers” and “brain hurters” and why that framing works for brain health
- Which parts of the anhedonia, stress, and reward content I kept, which I simplified, and which I left out
- Why those choices made sense for that age group
- What surprised me about trying to explain stress, feelings, and hope to four year olds
You can keep this as a read only reflection, or invite students in education or psychology to add their own ideas about how they might use their own approach in their own outreach or peer education.
